Secret Health Remedy......A Cruise Vacation!!!

Secret-Health-Remedy---A-Cruise-Vacation---The-Travel-Factory Secret Health Remedy......A Cruise Vacation!!!

It took several years in the travel business before I could convince my wife to go on a cruise with me, but finally, after the introduction of the “transderm patch”, she relented, and we took our first cruise out of New York to Bermuda for 7 days. That was back in 1985, and we have never looked back after discovering our favorite type of vacation.

She was concerned about motion sickness and had experienced balance concerns in times past, but in 80+ times cruising the high seas, she has never had an issue with motion sickness.

Several months ago there was an article entitled, “Can A Cruise Vacation Improve Your Health?” The writer had several comments for that position, so I'll share a few of them with you. One benefit is the exposure to the sun. Of course cruising in the Caribbean, Southern Mexico, or South America are great locations to get plenty of sun. Sitting by the pool or on a beach and enjoying a few rays of sun are beneficial to your health...for example it helps boost immunity, lowers blood pressure, improves your mood, promotes weight loss ( as long as you stay off the ice cream!!), and can even help cure depression. Naturally you have to be smart and have protection and not over-stay your exposure, otherwise it might not be as healthy as you had intended.

Another healthy benefit is the reduction in stress, from planning to returning home. Save yourself the stress and hassle of planning; the cruise already has the planned itinerary, they have the dining options galore, and the entertainment package will keep everyone happy.

In addition, all the cruise lines have well equipped fitness and exercise locations and spa offerings, and most have a walking or jogging track, so the on-board fitness opportunities are numerous; and of course there will be group classes of yoga or Pilates that are available.

There are many things to do on a cruise ship, but one of the best things is to just sit and relax; watch people, read a book, take a nap, interact without an agenda with family and friends. And for goodness sake, do your best to stay off the cell phone; don't even think politics!!!

Here's another healthy benefit of cruising that often goes overlooked. That is the benefit of enjoying some salt water at the beach. According to some experts, salt water has a number of health benefits; it heals cuts, treats acne, clears nasal passageways, and may even rid your hair of dandruff.

And how about this? Cruising gives you many opportunities to meet new people from around the world, and you can even experience different cultures. This is socially healthy as well as mentally stimulating to enlarge your influence and learn from others.

here are many different vacation opportunities available, from visiting grandma to fishing trips or going to amusement parks, or planning an overseas family vacation, but cruising can be all that wrapped up on an ocean-going ship.
