We will occasionally get folks who don’t have a lot of history in Abilene ask us about how long we’ve been in business and if our agents are experienced enough to be giving out travel advice.  

Up until last year about this time, I always had an answer that usually took too long, but since last October, we have that answer summarized on our website; www.thetravelfactoryabilene.com.

That website is full of good information about the history of our agency. . .would you believe we have a legacy that goes back to 1949!!  There are buttons to push on the site that introduces our agents and tells of their background. . . .and you’ll find that we have way over 100 years of combined experience in selling travel here in the Big Country.

My favorite feature on the site is the testimonial section where friends who have traveled with us make comments about their experience and our service.  When I want to get energized in my work, I just go read a few testimonials and I’m ready to get back to the business of helping good friends make memories.

Another favorite section is the photographs.  Those photos are ones that have been taken by clients on their trips and have e-mailed us one or two of their favorite photos.  There are some spectacular pictures in those archives. .careful, it’ll make you want to go!

You can even look at the future group tours and cruises we have planned for The Travel Factory Gang.  There is a brief description, cost, and directions on how to make a reservation. 

One great feature is that you can make a reservation from our web site through one of our favorite tour operators, Funjet Vacations.  They have tours to great all-inclusive properties in Mexico, the Caribbean, and Dominican Republic as well as air/land packages to destinations here in the United States, especially Florida, Hawaii, and Las Vegas.The good thing about it is if you do make a reservation through that site, The Travel Factory will be the agent of choice and will be available to help and answer any questions you might have, plus we will get the credit for the sale. It’s a win-win-win situation!!!
