Carnival Cruise Line Is "Big" Too

Carnival-Cruise-Line-Is-Big-Too---The-Travel-Factory

Last week we talked about Royal Caribbean's new ship, the Symphony of the Seas, and since our Carnival sales rep was in for a visit, I was reminded that they too have some “big” ships to boast about. One of them, the Vista, is being re-positioned to Galveston.

The Vista was put into service back in 2016, and carries with her 3,954 passengers; that's about 300 more than the Breeze that had been sailing out of there for the past two years. She will begin sailing out of Galveston in September, 2018.

Then they are bringing in the Carnival Dream, scheduled to begin service in May, 2019. She will be doing the 4 and 5 day cruises from Galveston, replacing the current Carnival Valor with 2,980 passengers. The Dream sailed into service in 2009 and carries with her 3,646 passengers.

So, Carnival's presence is getting “bigger” too!!

Both of these different ships will have the same Grand Atrium, Water Works, Guy's Burger, Blue Iguana Cantina, Tequila Bar, Bonsai Sushi, Game Show, Red Frog Pub, Seaside Theatre, Outstanding production shows, Suess At Sea, Wedding Chapel, and many more features, including a floating casino.

The 4-night itinerary on the Valor is from Galveston to Cozumel and back. The 5-night itinerary on the Valor is from Galveston to Progresso and Cozumel and back. There are two different itineraries alternating weeks that the Carnival Vista will follow. One week they will port in Cozumel Mexico, Montego Bay Jamaica, and Georgetown Grand Cayman. The next week the will call at Roatan Honduras, Costa Maya Mexico, and Cozumel Mexico. A sister ship, the Carnival Freedom will about once a month vary her itinerary to include ports at Key West, Freeport Bahamas, and Nassau Bahamas.

Carnival's newest ship, the Carnival Horizon was delivered last month. That made 26 ships that Carnival has in their stable with a double-occupancy capacity of 70,000 passengers per week. The Horizon is scheduled to debut this month and spend the summer in Europe before positioning to her home port of Miami in the fall.

Speaking of “big”, the Horizon is 133,500 tons and will carry with her 3,936 guests. There are several innovations not found on their other ships like the IMAX theater and the Sky Ride. Also they are boasting of some elevator innovations that make it easier to get around on their ship than ever before. uk casinos not on gamstop
