Travel Agency MVA (Most Valuable Asset)
Last week we talked about being relational. If we are honest with ourselves, as travel agents, our most valuable assets are our clients(friends) who after we have helped them with their travel plans, continue that relationship with additional bookings throughout the years.
A close second MVA is the experienced travel agents, or counselors, as some agencies call us. Here at The Travel Factory we have been so fortunate over the past 12 years since I have owned it to have had the best, most servant-hearted agents helping our Big Country friends with their travel.
Joy Bishop began her work experience in the travel business in 1971. She worked for several agencies here in Abilene through the ’80s and ‘90s, the last one being Enzor Travel. Ed Enzor who started Enzor Travel sold the agency to a Nashville travel entrepreneur, Billy Caldwell who merged that agency with me when we partnered in purchasing The Travel Factory in July, 2002. Joy has outstanding expertise in corporate travel, group travel for churches and universities, while at the same time is a vital cog making sure the business end of our agency stays on track each week. Joy is the mother of two daughters, and just recently a grandmother to Jackson, her new pride and joy.
Doug McGraw, a native of Hawley, attended Braniff training academy after graduating from high school, and worked for a while for Texas International Airlines. In May of 1977, he moved back to Abilene and started working as a travel agent at Supertravel. He continued his career with The Travel Factory and has had interaction with many gracious clients over the years. He is the first face you see when you enter our office, and oftentimes the first voice you hear when you call. His travels and expertise range from Las Vegas to Disney to Mexico to Hawaii. He whiles his time watching movies, writing fiction, and puttering around the house.
Donna Brady’s dad was stationed in Germany, so she grew up with German as her first language; thankfully she is still fluent in that language with many relatives still living over there. She was trained to be a travel agent at a junior college in North Carolina, and began her journey in travel employed by American Airlines in 1989. Her husband was in the military, so she moved to Texas with him and began working and managing at Enzor Travel with Joy, then after a stint with her husband who was stationed in England, she returned to Abilene and started at The Travel Factory in the spring of 2003. Donna has extensive experience in advising clients to Disney, to Jamaica, and of course, to Germany. She has handled many mission and humanitarian groups over the years for churches and universities and specializes in business and personal travel. In her down time, her focus is on a very special year-old grandson.
Add my 39 years in the travel business, our clients have the advantage of a combined almost 150 years experience in helping folks with their travel needs. https://www.scrivolibero.it/scegli-i-bonus-e-le-cripto-valute-piu-sicure-scegli-sempre-i-casino-online-che-utilizzano-bitcoin/ That is a very subtle and inexpensive asset in Abilene for the traveling public.
