Don't Be Left Behind.......Call Today!!!!
The Travel Factory has a great itinerary scheduled on a Viking River Cruise to Paris and the Heart of Normandy, departing on October 31-November 7, 2019. Reservations were secured for this group trip back on May 3, 2018. By mid-November, 2018, that departure was already sold out!!!
This is the way with river cruise reservations on these quality ships. They only have room to hold 190 persons, so it doesn't take too many phone calls to sell them out!!
We have a current Travel Factory Gang river cruise booking on the Elbe River for next June 19-28, 2020. This is a smaller river boat, with only 49 rooms holding 98 persons. The reason it is smaller is because the Elbe River is traditionally a very low river, so a smaller boat keeps the weight lighter. Because the room inventory is small, the cruise line maintains the available inventory in-house. In other words, if a guest wants to travel on this trip, the travel agent is not holding any space, so the guest needs to have their deposit ready when the agent makes the call to the cruise line.
This is a very popular itinerary because it includes two 5-star hotel nights in Prague before the cruise and two nights in Berlin at the end of the cruise. We were able to visit Berlin in May on the Viking Homelands cruise, and it is certainly worth another visit. One of the churches we drove by has never been repaired from the bombing during World War II....left as a reminder. The cruise makes several stops on the Elbe including a stop at Wittenberg which was Martin Luther's home, and you will get to visit the Castle Church where the Reformation letter was nailed to the door. Another popular stop is at Meissen where the famous porcelain factory is located. The Dresden Castle is another stop along the way. One of the sites we get to visit also is Potsdam, which is a suburb of Berlin. This is where the Potsdam Conference was held at the end of World War II, attended by the “Big Three” at the time, Stalin, Churchill, and Truman.
Currently we have 9 of those rooms confirmed and in visiting with my Viking host today he said there were still some rooms available, but space, of course, is limited.
Remember, all meals are included on the ship along with the breakfast at the hotels, one shore excursion in every port, airfare and transfers, and tax are included. An additional inclusion with the fare is that beer, wine, and soft drinks are included on-board with lunch and dinner. Also they have coffee and tea, cookies and muffins available all day. They also include free Wi-Fi, but connection speed will, no doubt, vary with location.
Weather-wise, the temperature in that area at that time of the year averages in the low to mid- 60's, so it would be a great time to visit.
Obviously, while there is still space left, now is the time to make a decision to join The Travel Factory Gang. Some of the advantages of going with us is we will start our newsletters relaying information about the trip in a few months, you'll have a local host on the trip, and we always enjoy a pre-cruise dinner party about two weeks before we go, relaying any last-minute information as well as meeting all the “Gang”. So give us a call today at 698-1421 or better still, drop in for a visit at our office located at 4150 Southwest Dr., at the Plaza at Park Central between Rosa's and Chick-Fil-A.
