I hate to beat a good horse to death, but if you haven’t been to Las Vegas in a couple of years. . .she’s changing again!!! They re-invent or re-invest themselves about every 2-3 years with new hotels, rehabbed hotels, new restaurants, new feature attractions, bigger and better casinos, and almost 24-hour shopping.
According to the travel magazine, Travel Agent, one of the biggest buzzes in Vegas is the new boutique hotel which is set to open sometime later this month. The name is The Cromwell Las Vegas. They will have only 200 rooms, but they will have full size refrigerators, wet bars that can be stocked upon request, and steam showers.
Have you heard about The Linq? It is a huge development by Caesars Entertainment, a $550 million open-air, pedestrian-friendly district on the Strip located between the Quad and Flamingo Las Vegas that will include plenty of shopping, dining, and entertainment.
There are a lot of other new upscale restaurants, but for those who want the less formal, you might want to consider the Double Barrel Roadhouse in front of the Monte Carlo. If you want to watch a game, how about the TAP American Sports Bar at the MGM Grand. Every seat faces one of 60 high definition TVs with major games broadcast live, and as you watch, they are serving fancy hot-dogs and slider-sized Philly cheesesteak sandwiches along with your own personalized burger.
