Exciting Family Vacations

It’s so much fun helping families plan for their vacation….just knowing how much fun they are going to have and the new experiences they will enjoy and the memories they will be making.

In my estimation, some of the best vacation options for families are the all-inclusive vacations.  That means all costs are considered and paid for before you travel.  And a lot of the time, the tour operators will throw in a promotion where the land package for the children under 12 is free.

It’s unfortunate that here in the United States there are virtually no hotel or resort facilities that offer that all-inclusive feature.  Most of those properties are located in Mexico, Jamaica, Costa Rica, or other Caribbean islands.

Some folks don’t really understand the nature of the all-inclusive.  It is just that….the price includes the airfare, the round-trip transfers from the airport to the hotel, the resort room, all you can eat and drink including the alcoholic and soft drinks, use of the facilities and beach, non-motorized water sports, entertainment shows at night, gratuities and all taxes.

There are several good reasons to consider an all-inclusive family vacation.  One of the best reasons is that you know what the cost of your vacation is before you go…there are no hidden costs.  When it comes time to check out, there are no surprise charges on your bill.

Another reason is that finally you can have a family meal together and they can try out everything on the menu if they want to.  Good quality family time and the best part is there is no bill to pay at the end of the evening.

For the children of all ages, even the teens, there are daily organized activities in supervised programs planned just for them.  Activities like beach and pool games, arts and crafts, mini-disco, movies, scavenger hunts, and other fun things that will keep them active and talking about it all year long.

The all-inclusives down to Mexico are the easiest to get to; 2hours and 15 minutes from DFW and you are there.  You do have to have a passport to travel internationally.  We have had our family down there on both all-inclusives and cruise ships, and the kids absolutely love the experience.
