Awesome Vacation Options

We just returned from a great vacation experience.....cruising the British Isles!! We started with a two-night introduction to the attractions of London....even a London theater experience with The Lion King and Jersey Boys. And if you've never been to Harrods in London, it is an amazing shopping extravaganza. Just watching people in that place is great entertainment!!

Princess Cruise Line took us to a very important and interesting island during WWII, Guernsey, then to the Ireland stops of Cork, Dublin, and Belfast. We journeyed on to Scotland, visiting Glasgow, the Orkney Islands, Invergordon, and Edinburgh where we enjoyed a tour of the Glamis Castle and a walk around the legendary St. Andrews golf course, where the game originated. Because of a union strike at the port of LaHarve, we missed that stop, but Princess substituted a stop at Brugge, Belgium. It is known as the “Venice of Belgium” because of the canals in and out of the city. Passengers could also take an excursion over to Brussels too, so all was not lost, and it turned out to be a very interesting port substitute.

That's a good trip that's offered a couple of times each year, usually in the spring or early summer......and yes, it was very safe. At no time on our trip did anyone feel a loss of security.

Just must let our friends know about the river cruise that we have planned for Nov. 25, 2017. It is a Rhine River cruise from Amsterdam to Basel Switzerland. The price is one of the best I've ever seen primarily because of the generous airfare quote. Air from DFW to Amsterdam and from Zurich back to DFW is only $100 round-trip!!! It is a promotion that is supposed to end on May 31, next Tuesday, so you would need to make reservations and pay the $500 deposit by then to hold this fantastic trip during the European Christmas markets.

Another really good cruise bargain is one that we talked about the first of this month. The Western Caribbean cruise out of Galveston on Royal Caribbean's newly refurbished Liberty of the Seas on Sept. 11 will visit Cozumel, Costa Maya Mexico, and Roatan Honduras. The cruise line has extended our group rates, which are the lowest you can find, until Friday, June 3. Deposit is $250 a person with final payment due June 17. Prices start as low as $667 a person based on two persons in the room, including all taxes and fuel surcharges. Why that's less than $100 a day for meals all day long if you want them, entertainment package that rocks, and more music, dancing, games, and fun than you can imagine......or you can just chill out all week long. What a dream vacation!!

October 15 is another awesome vacation experience we are offering that will be a forever memory for those on that trip. That is a cruise of the Hawaiian Islands where you would get to visit all four islands on Norwegian Cruise Line's Pride of America. The great part about this presentation of Hawaii is that you only have to unpack once and you get to spend a lot of time on each island. You would overnight on both Maui and Kauai, spend all day in Hilo on the east side of the Big Island, and all day in Kona on the west side of the Big Island, hopefully being able to see the active volcano on the Big Island (Hawaii) that is quite a sight at night. It is also a golfers holiday, because you have enough time to play golf on all the islands.
