As one publication promoted, “The Hawaiian PEOPLE, the HISTORY of the islands, the CULTURE of the islands---they're what set a Hawaii vacation apart from others”.
Over the years we have had the privilege of sending many good friends to the Hawaiian islands for their unforgettable vacation....and as that publication announced, those attributes were all mentioned when reviewing their vacation on their return. There are many things that draw guests to the islands, among them are the relaxed ambiance throughout the island, the beautiful beaches, sightseeing opportunities, the natural wonders, and last but not least, the safety aspect prevalent throughout the islands.
From DFW, it is a direct, non-stop flight of 8 hours, and a 5-hour time change, so it takes a little getting used to, body and mind. Without realizing it, some initially think they just want to go over for 4 or 5 days, but they want to see maybe 2 or 3 islands. That is not a vacation!!! So that is where an experienced travel agent is able to help guide their thinking.
Some have only 7 days vacation, so I suggest that they think of visiting only 2 islands in that length of time, if they want a land based vacation. We go over the benefits and sightseeing opportunities of each island and try to guide them to the two islands that fit their interests.
Some say they want to see them all if possible, and my favorite recommendation to them is the 7-night cruise on Norwegian Cruise Line's Pride of America. That ship visits all 4 islands in 7 days and you only have to unpack once!!! Their itinerary leaves from Honolulu, stops on the island of Maui for two full days and an overnight stay, next to Hilo for a day on the east side of the Big Island of Hawaii, then for a day in Kona on the west side of that island (famous for the active volcano), then she sails on to Kauai where passengers enjoy two more days and an overnight stay, then back to Honolulu. There are so many beautiful sights to see, and you would get a real good sense of the friendliness of the people, the understanding of the history and culture of this beautiful 50th state in the Union.
Well, The Travel Factory would love to invite you and all your friends to join us on this fabulous experience next October. We have taken 5 groups cruising in this fashion over the years, and can verify that it is a lifetime memory experience. Our date of departure is Oct. 15-22, 2016. We choose that time because on the 3 other occasions we have been there at this time, the weather has been absolutely beautiful. We also suggest that our friends consider going a couple of days earlier if their schedule will allow to get acclimated to the time change and to be able to see some of the sights of Oahu, in particular Pearl Harbor and Punchbowl.
There is much to visit about regarding this trip, so give us a call at The Travel Factory, 698-1421 or 800-760-4040. It is a detailed enough trip that, in my opinion, requires a little time in discussion with an experienced agent, so plan on coming by our office at 4150 Southwest Drive, Ste. 120, on the southside of Abilene at the Plaza at Park Central, between Rosa's and Chick-Fil-A. We'd love to send you and your loved one(s) to Paradise!!!
