Occasionally we will run across some really good cruise promotions that are simply fantastic.. . .can’t see how the cruise lines can offer all the things they provide at such a discounted rate. . .but it happens, especially if booked early.
Such is the case for our promotion next year in cooperation with a competing station to Talk Radio, KEAN. For the tenth year, the announcer on the morning show at KEAN, Rudy Fernandez, is promoting a cruise next year that is one of the best cruise bargains we’ve ever offered.
We are cruising Sunday on the 2014 edition of the “Rudy Cruise” on Royal Caribbean Cruise Line’s Navigator of the Seas. It departs out of Galveston with stops scheduled at Roatan, Honduras, Belize, and Cozumel, Mexico. Seven nights with good water and beach focused ports, along with excellent food options and outstanding entertainment offerings.
Next year, on that same ship, the group will be leaving out of Galveston on September 20-27, 2015 and visiting ports in Falmouth, Jamaica, Grand Cayman, and Cozumel, Mexico. The story from RCCL is that they will be taking the Navigator out of this market in November of next year, and bringing in another ship, so this will be one of the last few departures of the Navigator out of Texas.
I’m not sure why they gave us such a good deal for next year, but we’ll take it and I’m sure the guests who sign up to go will be “vacation happy” too!! The price for a balcony room, based on two persons in the room, is only $840 a person . . .that is $250 less than this year’s price!!!. The price for an inside room is only $640 a person which is $100 less than this year’s published price. My peg for a good cruise deal has always been that if you can find a price for around $100 a day per person, you need to jump on it. . .and this one fits that mantra.
We will be taking reservations for this trip beginning the week we return, so all our listeners who want to plan for a week of fun next year need to get ready make their deposit. The amount to hold a room for next year is only $250 a person and that deposit less $50 is refundable if you have to cancel before final payment time in late June, 2015. The good thing about planning early is that you not only have good room selections, but you can begin saving monthly for that final payment time, and there is plenty of time to do that. For example, if you chose to take an inside room at $640 a person, for two persons that would be $1280. You would pay $500 to reserve the room and that would leave $780 for the final payment. It is 10 months away until final payment time, so if you could sock away about $80 a month for vacation time next year, you would have it easily paid for, then you would have July, August, and most of September to save for the extras that you want to enjoy while on board the ship.
