I started in the travel business at a travel agency in Austin, Texas in 1971, and have experienced the many changes that have evolved in the industry over the last 40 years.

That experience has gone from writing out reservation cards, calling each airline, and handwriting tickets, to the wonderful computer age that does it all with a few strokes on a keyboard. It hasn’t all been for the good of the travel agent, but it is a much quicker and more efficient way to book travel.

Over the years I have had the privilege of helping the corporate traveler find the best way to reach their destination at the lowest cost, helping co-ordinate university student groups abroad, planning cruise groups to various destinations, helping the honeymoon couple plan that special “once in a lifetime” trip, or just helping individuals plan that once a year vacation for the best value.

I was employed at a local agency in Abilene that merged with The Travel Factory in July, 2002, and have been blessed to be able to provide travel service for many wonderful people in our community.
