My initial working career was as a teacher, coach, and administrator at the high school and university levels for 13 years. Those responsibilities certainly prepared me for the travel business which I entered in May, 1976.

I have been a partner in the business since 1981, primarily specializing in group business. My initial group efforts were with high school and college groups, especially athletic teams and high school senior trips. Then we escorted many groups doing mission efforts to France, Denmark, Norway, Australia, Korea, Brazil, Japan, Taiwan, and Great Britain, Mexico and the Holy Land. Domestically we’ve planned and escorted groups to Las Vegas, Reno, Hawaii, San Francisco, Phoenix, and Idaho.

Cruise groups have also been a passion to destinations such as Alaska, Hawaii, Mediterranean, Caribbean, Canada/New England, Panama Canal, and am eagerly anticipating our first European river cruise in 2013.

Another recent group planning experience, and one that I don’t necessarily host, is the generation or family groups, helping to make arrangements for folks meeting from many destination to a land-based all inclusive resort or cruise experience.

Our motto is that, if given the opportunity, ”we’re working for YOU to manufacture the vacation of your dreams”. And we do just that, providing good service that meets your pocket book and provides you with a valuable and memorable travel experience.

You might be interested to know that I am married to Paula who after retiring from teaching elementary students for 37 years, helped us at The Travel Factory for about 3 years and is now in charge of our pre-cruise dinner parties. We have a son in the music business, living in Franklin, TN along with his wife and 3 children. We also have a daughter teaching kindergarten and a son-in-law and two granddaughters helping her “keep house” in the Wylie-Dallas area.
